Director of Behavioral Services
The Director is responsible for overseeing the clinical and administrative operations of the inpatient behavioral health unit. The director ensures high-quality patient care adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance. They will collaborate with medical staff nurses social workers therapists and other personnel to provide effective treatment programs. The director will be an active member of the behavioral health substance use disorder service line. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has strong leadership skills clinical expertise and the ability to manage resources effectively.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall direction supervision and evaluation of treatment services in the inpatient behavioral health unit.
- Prepare and manage the budget; identify opportunities for financial savings without compromising patient care; identify opportunities for revenue enhancement.
- Develop implement and evaluate departmental policies procedures and programs. Ensure staff and providers are educated on department policies and procedures.
- Ensure efficient staffing and provide administrative and clinical supervision for all staff assigned; evaluate staff performance to monitor achievement of goals and objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate patient care outcomes and develop strategies for continuous improvement; ensure compliance with accreditation standards; implement performance improvement initiatives based on data driven analysis of outcomes.
- Evaluate departmental functions of utilization review corporate compliance operations and patient safety in partnership with health system departments.

Required Skills and Experience:

- Masters degree preferred (MSN MBA MHA or leadership focused)
