Role Summary
As a Senior IBMi (AS/400) Developer you will be responsible for designing building and testing applications for various site components. This role involves documenting technical designs researching updated content and acting as a subject matter expert within an Agile environment. You will collaborate across multiple teams to provide technical solutions and drive key decisions for application enhancements.
Responsibilities
Design build and test web-based applications and site components.
Document technical designs and specifications.
Identify errors in job logs and manage bug handling/reporting.
Develop innovative solutions to enhance user experience and functionality.
Research and incorporate updated content for websites.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality applications.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing.
Provide solutions to problems for immediate and external teams.
Required Skills
AS/400 COBOL 400:Advanced proficiency (4-7 years experience).
Bug Reporting:Advanced proficiency and experience identifying errors in Job logs.
RPGLE CLLE and RPG:Strong working knowledge for enhancements and development.
Agile Methodology:Practical experience working in an Agile environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills
IBM DB2/400
IBM System i (AS/400) RPG IV and RPG III
Industry-specific experience (Preferable but not required).
