Location: Onsite - Manufacturing Plant
Employment Type: Full-Time Exempt

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Field HR the HR Business Partner is a highly visible hands-on role supporting day-to-day HR operations within a manufacturing plant environment. This position requires a strong on-site presence and close partnership with plant leadership and employees to ensure HR processes are effectively embedded into daily operations.

The HR Business Partner is accountable for all HR matters for assigned plant(s) and plays a key role in aligning workforce strategies with business objectives. This role provides practical data-driven HR guidance while supporting employee engagement performance and compliance in a fast-paced frontline setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and leaders at assigned manufacturing plant(s).

  • Maintain a strong on-site presence spending significant time on the production floor.

  • Partner with plant leadership on employee relations performance management discipline compensation and terminations.

  • Manage employee concerns complaints and investigations ensuring fair and compliant resolutions.

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment including posting sourcing screening interviewing and candidate management.

  • Coordinate onboarding activities in collaboration with HR Operations including background checks I-9s and drug testing.

  • Support payroll processes by reviewing timecards and resolving discrepancies.

  • Analyze HR data and trends to support business decisions and continuous improvement.

  • Assist in the development and execution of plant-level HR programs and initiatives.

Qualifications

Required & Preferred Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in HR Business or related field preferred.

  • Hands-on HR experience in an operations-driven or frontline environment.

  • Manufacturing plant HR experience strongly preferred.

  • Solid knowledge of HR practices employment laws and compliance requirements.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS/payroll systems; Paycom experience preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

  • Excellent organizational interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced high-volume environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation is based on qualifications education experience internal equity and market data. Hiring at the top of the range is uncommon.
