The Senior Project Manager will provide end-to-end delivery leadership for a complex system replacement initiative coordinating multiple vendors and internal technical teams managing system integrations and ensuring successful implementation while maintaining service continuity.
This is a highly strategic delivery role requiring deep experience in IT project execution technical coordination and engineering informed decision making within complex regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning execution and delivery of the Locate Ticketing System modernization initiative.
- Provide end to end project leadership across all phases of delivery from initiation through implementation and transition.
- Coordinate internal engineering teams solution architects vendors and business stakeholders.
- Oversee system integrations with CRM mapping platforms telephony and related digital services.
- Manage project schedules dependencies risks issues and budgets.
- Lead testing user acceptance cutover planning and go live readiness activities.
- Ensure delivery remains aligned with approved scope timelines and funding commitments.
- Provide regular status reporting risk escalation and decision support to senior leadership and governance forums.
- Support change management communication planning and stakeholder engagement activities.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
IT Project Delivery and Engineering Expertise
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience delivering complex IT projects including system modernizations platform replacements or enterprise application implementations.
- Engineering or technical background is strongly preferred including experience in software development systems engineering or solution delivery roles prior to project management responsibilities.
- Proven experience leading projects involving system integration data migration workflow automation and modernization of legacy systems.
- Strong understanding of modern IT architectures including cloud based platforms APIs middleware and data integration patterns.
Technical and Delivery Leadership
- Experience coordinating multi vendor delivery environments and managing complex technical dependencies.
- Ability to engage at a technical level with vendors and internal teams to assess implementation approaches and manage delivery risk.
- Experience overseeing testing strategies phased deployments and operational cutovers in high availability environments.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms ticketing or case management systems and mapping or geospatial platforms is an asset.
Project Management and Governance
- Strong command of project management methodologies including PMP PRINCE2 Agile or hybrid delivery models.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project teams schedules risks and budgets in time sensitive high impact initiatives.
- Experience supporting executive reporting ministry reporting steering committees and governance forums.
- Experience working in regulated or public sector environments is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science Information Systems or a related technical discipline.
