The Middleware Specialist will lead the upgrade of the Health Information Access Layer (HIAL) technology focusing on modernization efforts across a technology stack that includes RHEL rsyslog HIB containers IBM MQ and FMBL. This role involves providing end-to-end middleware expertise from planning and design to deployment support and maintenance ensuring minimal service disruption during upgrades. The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution and adherence to enterprise standards.

This role involves providing end-to-end middleware expertise from planning and design to deployment support and maintenance ensuring minimal service disruption during upgrades. The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution and adherence to enterprise standards.
Location:Toronto Ontario Canada
Responsibilities:
- Perform technical activities for the HIAL upgrade including system preparation deployment configuration optimization and validation.
- Troubleshoot complex middleware integration and infrastructure challenges.
- Develop and maintain implementation plans technical procedures runbooks and operational guides.
- Identify risks propose mitigation strategies and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Architecture Security Privacy and Infrastructure teams to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate with Infrastructure UNIX Network Middleware Support Backup & Storage and QA teams.
- Support QA testing by preparing environments resolving defects and validating readiness for deployment.
- Ensure adherence to change and release management processes.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation status reports and readiness checklists.
