Aurizon has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Officer Telecommunications Level II to join the Network division based in Brisbane / Rockhampton.
About the role:
The Telecommunications team powers the Architecture and Design of Aurizons cutting-edge Operational Telecoms network a critical backbone stretching across Central Queensland. This network keeps vital and safetycritical services running smoothly and supports the heartbeat of train operations.
As part of this high-performing team and reporting to the Engineering Leader Telecommunications you will lead the design and deployment of advanced telecommunications systems that deliver on both Customer and internal needs. About you:
We are seeking someone who is self-motivated to deliver quality work in the design space. You will be analytically minded with the ability to work autonomously when required. The office-based role will require you to visit site as-needed for walkouts to review proposed works and but also to oversee and validate commissioning activities and completed installations. You will have knowledge and the ability to read and understand electrical drawings cable line diagrams engineering schematics standards and specifications. You will be experienced and have extensive knowledge of telecommunication or signalling systems used in a Rail or Utility Operational environment including:
