Job Summary
A large established healthcare organization is seeking a Director of Internal Audits to lead and oversee the full internal audit function with a strong focus on physician billing coding compliance revenue integrity and regulatory standards.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for building and executing the annual audit plan partnering with executive leadership and ensuring operational transparency across clinical and revenue cycle departments.
What Youll Own
Design and execute the annual internal audit work plan based on risk
Audit physician billing coding AR documentation and compliance practices
Evaluate adherence to CPT ICD-10 CMS Medicare and Medicaid guidelines
Present audit findings and remediation plans to senior leadership
Partner with department heads on risk mitigation and process improvement
Lead mentor and develop the internal audit team
Track findings through to resolution and corrective action
Qualifications :
What You Must Have
10 years of auditing experience
5 years auditing in a healthcare environment
Deep knowledge of:
CPT / ICD-10 coding
Physician billing workflows
CMS Medicare Medicaid compliance
Experience building and leading audit plans
Prior leadership of an audit team
Strong communication skills with executive presence
