Purpose
Provide leadership and subject matter expertise to ensure Rests financial accounting team delivers accurate timely and compliant financial reporting for Rests trustee and investment entities. The role ensures strong financial controls highquality insights and continuous improvement in alignment with Rests strategy and memberfirst mission.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of accurate timely and compliant financial reporting for all Rest Group entities ensuring alignment with statutory taxation and regulatory obligations
- Provide highquality financial insights and analysis to the GM Financial and Regulatory Reporting to support Board AFC and ELT reporting and strategic decisionmaking.
- Strengthen Rests financial control environment by maintaining and improving finance policies risk management practices and endtoend reporting processes.
- Drive crossfunctional initiatives that uplift financial systems processes and operational efficiency ensuring continuous improvement and costeffective outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners (administrator custodian auditors tax advisers and regulators) to ensure highquality reporting outcomes and smooth operational delivery.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree in Business Finance or Commerce (Accounting major preferred)
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) designation
Required experience understanding or credentials including:
- Demonstrated experience in financial services professional services or superannuation
- Strong understanding of the superannuation industry
- Deep knowledge of financial regulatory and taxation reporting requirements relevant to superannuation funds
- Highly developed technical accounting capability including the ability to apply accounting standards to complex arrangements
