Job Summary
Were currently seeking a Sample Preparation Assistant to join our Westport team on a sixmonth fixedterm contract. This is a fulltime position working a 4 on / 4 off 12hour dayshift roster.
About the Role:
In this role youll support the preparation and analysis of mineral samples within our Westport laboratory. Youll be part of a supportive and highly systemdriven environment where accuracy safety and teamwork are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- To receive register prepare and analyse mineral samples in accordance with the standard operating procedures in the laboratory to ensure a high service level is maintained.
- Day to day upkeep of equipment and general housekeeping of workstations
- To produce a reasonable number of samples each day to ensure sufficient daily output.
- To ensure all activities are carried out with regard and recognition of Health and Safety requirements and personal safety.
Qualifications :
About You
Were looking for someone who brings reliability attention to detail and a strong work ethic to the team. You will also have:
- Experience in preparation and analysis of samples is desirable but not essential
- Ability and experience in carrying out instructions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Confidence working in a processdriven systemised environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Experience in sample preparation or laboratory work (advantageous but not essential)
