Job Summary
12-month contract
Position: Safety Officer Learnership
Quantum Insights is a leading consulting firm in the field of occupational health and safety. We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Safety Officer Learnership. This is a full-time 12-month contract position that will provide valuable hands-on experience and training in the field of safety.
As a Safety Officer Learnership you will be responsible for assisting our team of experienced safety officers in conducting workplace inspections identifying hazards and implementing safety procedures. You will also have the opportunity to learn about risk assessments emergency response planning and incident investigations.
This learnership program is designed for individuals who are passionate about promoting a safe and healthy work environment. We are looking for candidates who are eager to learn have strong communication skills and are able to work well in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist safety officers in conducting workplace inspections and identifying potential hazards
- Participate in the development and implementation of safety procedures and protocols
- Learn how to conduct risk assessments and assist in the development of emergency response plans
- Assist with incident investigations and reporting
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in the field of safety
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to the overall success of the safety program
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety activities
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Passion for promoting a safe and healthy work environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of safety regulations and procedures is an asset
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
