Are you an experienced child-centred practitioner with knowledge of attendance and the willingness to support children and young people back into accessing education
We are seeking a Children Missing in Education (CME) Reintegration Support Assistant to join the Team Around the School and Setting (TASS) part of the innovative Education Division of Childrens Services.
The primary focus of the role will be to undertake direct work with children educational settings and families to support improved outcomes for children and young people with additional needs. The role also provides high quality short-term intensive intervention and support for children and young people identified as having poor school CME Reintegration Support Assistants are a point of contact for parents in order to increase parental confidence reduce anxiety and support successful reintegration and inclusion in mainstream settings.
As part of a team of experienced staff you will work alongside professionals to draw up and deliver bespoke packages of support. This will involve mentoring the pupil as well as working with the family and school to establish positive effective working relationships which will lead to improved educational outcomes.
We are looking for a skilled practitioner with a genuine interest in this area who is experienced in working within an educational setting to support attendance and engagement with learning. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with children young people families and school staff. Further to this you will have demonstrable skills in:
The post will be based at either St Marys House Eastbourne or Cavendish House Hastings. There is flexibility for some home working as part of a hybrid working model. You will be supported through regular supervisions case discussions and peer support.
