The Electrification Segment OTR Accounting Leader will demonstrate accountability process ownership & execution for the Electrification Segment monthly OTR accounting and reporting processes. This individual will integrate and develop policies procedures and guidelines to help ensure ES meets the OTR financial closing consolidation & reporting standards for GE Vernova.
Job Description
What youll do
- Develop business process guidelines policies and controls including creating and maintaining OTR transactional accounting closing (execute and circulate closing reports like Result Analysis Warranty provision project result) consolidation standard processes for ES
- Define business process strategy & KPIs drive daily process management and monitor KPIs to ensure process health
- Evaluate service level from outsourced providers; approve any action plans resulting from critical service performance failures
- Drive communication of business requirements operational feedback and escalations
- Be partner of ES Business Line Operational OTR teams Business line CFOs ES Controllership pillar leaders to drive closing efficiency
- Act as strategic business single point of contact for other GEV businesses as necessary
- Lead OTR accounting related closing activities to grant accurate financial and close issues while analyzing financial information
- Drive backlog resolution (extract backlog report from KEOPS and Tableau review and follow up for data inconsistencies perform gap analysis and identify root cause)
- Lead project closure process & system changes and monitor its efficiency & effectiveness
- Challenge process & system deficiencies drive simplification and continuous improvement
- Prepare and maintain OTR accounting related procedures SOPs
- Drive resolution of unreconciled accounts; support the preparation of account reconciliation along with the supporting documents for compliance with established criteria and overall quality
- Extensive interaction with business line OTR teams financial planning & analysis (FP&A) technical & business line controllership teams
- Maintain effective & efficient partnerships with auditors & other service providers
- Represent business in steering committee (if applicable)
What youll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- BA or BS in finance/accounting from an accredited college or university
- Major experience in a controllership/accounting role
- Fluent English knowledge is essential
- Knowledge of the Electrification businesses (including products business processes and systems)
- Knowledge of US GAAP and GE Vernova accounting policies and procedures in the areas of OTR Accounting
- Highly analytical with well-developed problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Deep SAP/VDL/KEOPS/Tableau expertise specifically in the areas Finance (FI) module; experience with FCC consolidation module a plus
- Highly collaborative demonstrated ability to collaborate across all finance structures (shared services local team outsourced service providers)
- Resilient
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills... experience managing a team
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
- Established project management skills
