Your Next Role: HR Advisor

As the HR Advisor for Newmedica Bristol you will support the company to ensure that all people matters are dealt with and managed effectively and assist in the development of a diverse and engaged workforce.

You will be passionate about human resources and have experience of delivering high quality processes across all aspects of the employee life-cycle including recruitment employee relations engagement and HR assurance and HR Advisor with the support of an HR Administrator you will be responsible for the management of all activity in relation to the HR lifecycle and will offer support and coaching to line managers whilst also dealing with employee queries efficiently and with sensitivity.

You will be comfortable working without direct supervision whilst maintaining an efficient professional manner. You will work closely with the Operational Director supporting on key projects such as compensation activities and staff engagement surveys as well and continued review of the local people requirements. You will develop good relationships with the wider Newmedica HR team working together to develop the HR offering and utilising their guidance as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of the end-to-end recruitment process.
  • Management of the onboarding and induction process ensuring that all checks are completed and in line with the NHS Employment Check Standards
  • Provision of comprehensive and timely support to employees at all levels in relation to HR queries in line with policy and best practice.
  • Supporting managers in the application of HR policies working with them to ensure that a consistent high-quality approach is applied.
  • Managing a range of ER cases confidently and safely working with managers to address issues informally where possible and supporting formal processes as required.
  • Maintenance of accurate HR & Recruitment records to meet internal regulatory and legal requirements
  • Management of the payroll function for Newmedica Bristol ensuring that accurate records are maintained and deadlines are adhered to.
  • Promotion of the companys Values and Behaviours and being instrumental in the promotion and development of engagement and wellbeing activities.
  • Line Management of the HR Assistant supporting their continued development and overseeing day to day activities.
  • Utilising the HR system to maintain accurate employee records
  • Proving accurate and timely data to measure key KPIs and provide accurate input into HR and business reports as required.



What Were Looking For

Desirable

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience or understanding of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and NHS regulatory standards.

Essential

  • Previous experience working within a HR environment with an understanding of the full HR life cycle.
  • First line HR advisory experience and the ability to coach managers including experience of end to end case management.
  • Experience with submission and review of payroll information.
  • Ability to exercise discretion judgement and maintain strict confidentiality
  • Experience of line management or mentoring of junior roles.
  • Experience using a HR system capturing data and understanding trends
  • A positive outlook service orientation and effective interpersonal skills
  • Have ability to concentrate on various tasks and prioritise whilst working without supervision.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Comfortable and confident communicating with people from all levels of the business
  • Numerate with competent IT skills (MS Office as well as compilation of Excel spreadsheets HR systems)
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Able to work effectively to tight deadlines within a collaborative team-orientated environment
