About the role
This is a permanent fulltime role working37 hours per weekon ahybrid basis.Youllworkmainly fromhome with travel to the office for team meetings and time spent out in the community as needed to support joining a friendly and supportive Advice & Support team of 11 colleagues becoming thefourth welfare benefits specialistin our dedicated expert flexible peoplefocused role whereyoullbe well connected well supported and empowered to make a real impact.
Skills and Experience Needed
Werelooking for someone with strongexpertisein welfare benefits and a solidtrack recordof supporting customers through complex cases and incomemaximisation excellent communication and advocacy skills confidently negotiating with statutory agencies andrepresentingcustomers at tribunal hearings. Highly organised and methodicalyoullmanage a varied caseload work well under pressure and thrive both independently and as part of a supportive team. Your ability to build positive partnershipsparticularly with Local Authorities and the DWPwill be essential as will your compassionate approach to supporting people facing financial or social challenges. Experience delivering training or presentations is a bonus andyoullhold a relevant qualification or equivalent experience. A full driving licence and access to a car for communitybased work are alsorequired.
