Job Summary

Senior Oracle DBA (Platform Operations & Engineering) with Baseline clearance-QLD ACT VIC NSW SA TAS

Hands-on Senior Oracle DBA to run and uplift Oracle and SQL database platforms. Accountable for availability performance security upgrades automation and support in a government environment.

Key responsibilities

Administer Oracle and SQL Server/Azure SQL platforms (availability performance backup/recovery patching).
Deliver platform improvements: monitoring automation capacity and performance tuning.
Manage incidents requests problem management and root cause analysis with strong stakeholder communication.
Lead or support lifecycle upgrades and cloud/PaaS migration activities.
Ensure security and compliance aligned to ISM and Essential Eight; protect data integrity.
Maintain runbooks SOPs and technical documentation.

Required experience

5 years in Senior DBA / database engineering roles (Oracle essential).
Strong production support troubleshooting and performance tuning experience.
Experience with monitoring/automation and structured change practices.
Exposure to SQL Server and/or Azure SQL.

Desirable

Oracle/Microsoft certifications.
Experience in government or regulated environments (audit-ready operations).
Automation skills (PowerShell/Bash/Python).
