Assisting Hands Home Care Merrillville is hiring Caregivers Home Health Aides (HHA) Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) Personal Care Aides (PCA) Direct Support Professionals (DSP) and Home Care Assistants to provide non-medical in-home care to seniors and adults in Crown Point Lake County and Porter County.

Caregiver Job Responsibilities

Caregivers will support clients by providing:

Personal care (bathing dressing grooming eating ambulation transfers)
Companionship conversation and emotional support
Light housekeeping laundry meal preparation and organization
Safe mobility assistance (walker wheelchair)
Medication reminders (no administration required)
Observing and reporting any changes in condition
Using a mobile app for clock-in/out care notes and communication
Following infection control and safety procedures
Maintaining confidentiality and professional standards

Caregiver Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Preferred: 1 year experience as a Caregiver HHA CNA PCA DSP or similar role
Reliable transportation valid drivers license and auto insurance
Able to pass a national background check
Current CPR certification and TB test (or willing to obtain prior to start)
Dependable compassionate professional and patient
Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and communication
