About the role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our growing global EHS team. This role is instrumental in expanding the reach and execution of our global EHS program across our EMEA and APAC operations. The incumbent will ensure operational compliance and program execution across multiple time zones.
Given the growing scope of regulatory requirements audits and employee safety programs this position will help:
Strengthen regional compliance coverage.
Reduce response time for audits and incidents.
Improve EHS training completion rates.
Provide consistent data tracking and reporting for EHS performance
Reporting to the EHS Manager at Headquarters the Specialist will work cross-functionally with HR Global Real Estate and Legal to implement programs conduct audits deliver training and monitor compliance performance. The ideal candidate will be proactive detail-oriented and adept at working in a fast-paced international environment.
What you will do
Under the direction of the Global EHS Manager:
Program Implementation & Compliance
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS programs policies and procedures across EMEA and APAC.
- Ensure compliance with local and regional health safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain alignment with global EHS standards and corporate frameworks.
- Assist in developing risk assessments safe work procedures and corrective action plans.
Audits Inspections & Risk Assessments
- Conduct site safety audits and inspections as required.
- Track and follow up on findings to ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Coordinate regional EHS self-assessments and support third-party or regulatory audits.
Incident Management & Reporting
- Guide local managers on incident reporting and investigations.
- Support root cause analysis and ensure preventive measures are documented and implemented.
- Maintain EHS performance metrics dashboards and compliance trackers.
Training & Awareness
- Assist in developing scheduling and tracking EHS training programs for regional employees.
- Partner with HR to ensure EHS onboarding and refresher training compliance.
- Foster a positive safety culture through engagement campaigns and awareness initiatives.
Regulatory & Corporate Interface
- Serve as a liaison between local operations regional management and the Global Real Estate/EHS team.
- Support health and safety compliancefor new Kinaxis entities during their launch in the APAC and EMEA regions collaborating with HR Legal and local external partners.
- Coordinate with Facilities/GRE HR and Legal to ensure site-level compliance programs are implemented effectively.
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain EHS data and metrics to support analysis reporting audits and performance reviews.
- Track regulatory changes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Support for Global EHS Strategy
- Provide administrative and operational support to the EHS Manager on global initiatives.
- Research best practices benchmark standards and support EHS compliance training.
- Contribute to the development of internal EHS tools templates and documentation systems.
What we are looking for
- Bachelors degree in Occupational health & safety Environmental Science Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 46 years of relevant EHS experience in a multinational organization. Experience supporting regional (EMEA/APAC) operations is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of EHS regulations and compliance frameworks. Experience with EHS management systems incident reporting tools and data tracking.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills across diverse cultures. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English required; additional language proficiency (e.g. Japanese Mandarin Dutch or German) is an advantage.
