- Develops implements and monitors HSE policies procedures and programs in accordance with local laws and global best practices.
- Conducts risk assessments and hazard identification for all project phases; recommends and enforces mitigation strategies.
- Leads incident investigations root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- Interfaces with project teams contractors and clients to ensure HSE requirements are understood and met.
- Prepares and delivers HSE training inductions and awareness campaigns for employees and contractors.
- Maintains accurate records of inspections audits incidents and training in line with regulatory and company requirements.
- Coordinates emergency response planning and drills.
- Monitors compliance with PPE usage safe work procedures and site safety rules.
- Liaises with government agencies and ensures timely submission of statutory reports.
- Tracks HSE performance metrics and prepares regular reports for management and clients.
- Promotes a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset across all levels of the organization.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety & Health Environmental Science Engineering or related field.
- 5 - 10 years of relevant experience in construction manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate safety expectations and influence behaviour at all levels.
- Basic understanding of budgeting and cost control related to HSE initiatives.
- Ability to prepare cost estimates for safety equipment training and compliance programs will be an added advantage.
- Ability to analyse complex situations identify hazards and implement effective solutions. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HSE management systems.
- Ability to conduct site inspections and audits.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
