Job Summary


Are you interested in supporting departmental projects office operations or research within the International Arctic Research Unit (IARC/UAF) at the University of Alaska

Multiple departments within IARC may draw from this temporary applicant pool throughout the year to fill a variety of roles. Specific responsibilities will depend on the hiring departments needs. This is a temporary staff position where the applicant will complete tasks assigned by research faculty or staff. To thrive in this role applicants must have administrative clerical or technical experience based on work that needs to be accomplished i.e. technical professional administrative and other.

The applicant must possess the ability to exhibit a high degree of professionalism communicate effectively verbally and in writing comfortably speak to a variety of audiences excellent interpersonal skills. You must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize and use good judgment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with a moderate to high degree of independence is desired.

Minimum Qualifications:

All temporary positions require at least a High School diploma or equivalent. The level of experience education training licensing and /or certification depends upon the position needs.

Position Details:

This position is located on the UAF campus in Fairbanks position may be part-time or full-time depending on the position starting salary for this position is commensurate with experience education and the level of responsibilities within the position.

This is a pooled position which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.Please note that this position will be closed on June 30 2026 at 11:55 PM Alaskan Standard Time.
