The Inventory Analyst is responsible for analyzing monitoring and optimizing inventory levels to support operational efficiency cost control and service-level objectives. This role involves data-driven analysis forecasting reporting and close collaboration with supply chain procurement and operations teams in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Analyze inventory levels turnover and demand trends to support accurate forecasting
Monitor stock levels and identify risks related to shortages excess inventory or obsolescence
Develop inventory reports dashboards and performance metrics for leadership review
Collaborate with procurement logistics and operations teams to align inventory plans with business needs
Support replenishment planning and safety stock optimization
Investigate inventory variances and support root-cause analysis
Ensure data accuracy across inventory management systems and ERP platforms
Assist with inventory audits and compliance requirements
Recommend process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Operations Finance or a related field
25 years of experience in inventory analysis supply chain analytics or operations planning
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
Experience with ERP or inventory management systems (e.g. SAP Oracle NetSuite)
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with demand forecasting and statistical analysis
Familiarity with SQL Power BI Tableau or similar reporting tools
Knowledge of inventory control methodologies (EOQ JIT safety stock models)
Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM or CSCP
Compensation:
Annual Salary Range: $70000 $95000 USD commensurate with experience qualifications and geographic location
