Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has become available for a skilled and detail-oriented Instrument Technician to join a well-established operation within an industrial and mining-related environment. This position is ideal for a technically strong individual with solid instrumentation experience who is committed to safety accuracy and operational excellence.
Requirements:
- NHD or N6 in Control and Instrumentation
- Must have at least 2 years experience working as an instrument technician
- SCADA (CITEC) proficiency
- MODICON and Schneider drives knowledge
- Medical Certificate of Fitness
- First Aid Certificate
- Own transport (to attend to call outs in good time)
Responsibilities:
- Comply with Health and Safety Management Systems and Standards
- Follow basic Health and Safety practices underground
- Train develop and discipline staff to achieve expected outcomes
- Provide and maintain a working environment in which subordinates can be motivated
- Establish and maintain a working environment in which subordinates can be motivated
- Establish and maintain a spirit of Team-ness in area of responsibility
- Establish and maintain effective communication
- Ensure safe and effective installation and maintenance of control and instrumentation equipment and machinery
- Ensure specialized CIC work is done
- Comply with provide systems practices methods standards and procedures of the work
