Job Summary
Mechanical Technician (R&D) vacancy in Centurion. Support the R&D team in the design prototyping testing and refinement of new mechanical systems and products. Diploma certificate or associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology/Mechatronics and a minimum of 3 years experience in a product development lifecycle from concept to prototype is required. 3D Printing experience.

Requirements:
- Diploma certificate or associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology/Mechatronics.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a product development lifecycle from concept to prototype.
- Proficient in the use of 3D printing equipment and additive manufacturing tools.
- Understanding of materials science including metals plastics and composites.
- Knowledge of pneumatic hydraulic or electromechanical systems.
- Experience in the Defence industry and familiarity with certification processes are advantageous.
- Computer literacy: Advanced skills in MS Excel and MS Word; proficient in eDrawings; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is beneficial.
- Skilled in mechanical assembly fitting and fabrication techniques.
- Capable of interpreting technical drawings and CAD models (e.g. SolidWorks Inventor).
- Familiarity with basic electronics and instrumentation is considered a plus.
