Junior Golf Camp Counselor (Part-Time Seasonal)

JOB SUMMARY

The Glenview Park Golf Club is looking for Camp Counselors for this coming season! Our fun-filled junior camps stretch out over two golf courses Glenview Park Golf Club (800 Shermer Road) and Glenview Prairie Club (2800 West Lake Ave.) where we are able to offer both on-course and range instruction for junior golfers ages 5-17. What could be better than spending a summer on the golf course passing along your knowledge and passion for the game onto our youth.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Meet & greet parents and junior golfers upon arrival and departure
Engage in regular communication with parents junior golfers and other staff
Must be enthusiastic and provide feedback in a positive and encouraging way
Loveworking with children and able to step out of comfort zone and be a kid yourself
Lead and supervise junior golfers to ensure rewarding and safe experience
Instruct junior golfers on game rules etiquette grip stance and other techniques
Managesupplies for activities anticipating needs and replenishing as necessary
Setup and break-down site

QUALIFICATIONS

The best applicants will have extensive golf knowledge and etiquette including prior experience working with junior golfers or instructing children of similar age range.

SCHEDULING & PAY

This is a part-time seasonal position. Mandatory hours include Monday through Friday approximately 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. June 8through August 14. Additional hours may be required outside of camp schedule. The hiring pay range is $16-$17/hour DOQ (dependent upon qualifications) plus generous golfing benefits!
