The AssociateDirectorStatistical Programming manages the statistical programming group within the therapeutic area(s). The incumbent oversees all activities both internally and externally by functional service providers related to statistical and non-statistical analysis on clinical program(s). The incumbentidentifiesandcommunicatetherapeutic specific requirements and works with management to develop and implement departmental standards applications processes and trainings. The incumbentrepresentsStatistical Programming in collaboration with partnering functions and stakeholders to ensure programmer needs are metregardingtherapeutic analysis specificationsapplicationand computing environment support. Works with management toidentifyresource needs based on project milestones and deliverables. The incumbent will lead process andmethodologydevelopment for department goals and SME topics. The incumbent maybe responsible forgoal setting and performance management.
As an Associate Director Statistical Programming a typical day may include:
Oversee all management functions including internal team and external functional service providers toensurestimelyand high-quality programming deliverables in assigned projects and areas. Manage the implementation of programming standards applications processes and trainings within the assigned area
Demonstrate company values and act as a role model bydemonstratingexcellence competence collaboration innovation respectownershipand accountability
Communicateand ensure commitment and reinforcement of the roles and responsibilities of the statistical/system programming function
Proactive communication with study and project teams to clarify requirements and specifications guide direct reports or support programmers on assignment status
Lead and manage department goals and SME topics
May oversee development of direct reports by setting goals managing performanceevaluatingandmonitoringtraining needs supporting development plans mentoring and coaching
Mayparticipatein screening and interviewing candidates forcontractorand permanent positions.
Works together withprogrammingleadership team tomaintainmetrics for key activities within the assigned areas.
Provides support and advice to all relevant employees about standards applications processes and trainings surrounding statistical programming function and deliverables
To be considered for this role you must have:
Minimum of a Masters Degree with 10- years experience
