Amalgamated Bank Americas socially responsible bank seeks to hire a Client Services Representative (CSR) to work in our Client Services Department to provide service and support including client onboarding account opening account maintenance treasury management onboarding and client servicing for the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Climate Finance and Business Banking departments.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Perform new account openings and account maintenance within the Client Service Team based on client requests and supporting documentation including but not limited to: Commercial Real Estate Climate Finance and Business Banking segments.
2. Assist the Client Services Team as a contact for assigned clients; liaising with other areas of the bank to resolve client issues.
3. Consult with clients to make appropriate recommendations on product services and fee structures.
4. Ensure respective CRE/Climate Finance/Business Relationship Managers are well informed of client issues requests and opportunities for growth.
5. Participate in sales process as requested by CRE Climate Finance and Business Bankers offering product expertise online banking demonstrations and pro forma analyses.
6. For new clients provide and implement flawless account transition services from the incumbent bank to Amalgamated Bank including account opening treasury management service enrollment and online banking training.
7. Complete monthly or annual audit reviews as required for select products and services.
8. Review and decision of daily overdraft and other account reports; escalate issues to management as needed.
9. Review daily and monthly reports including but not limited to: new accounts account maintenance XAA preliminary statements XAA waivers XAA maintenance changes fee refunds RDC returns ACH debit origination returns
10. Process credit report request as needed by underwriting and relationship team(s)
11. Run prospective borrowers through Know Your Customer (KYC) process including but not limited to OFAC LexisNexis and various AML systems
12. Start all Commercial Real Estate loan packages by processing initial deposit assigning mortgage number creating digital loan file etc.
13. Research and follow up on outstanding issues inquiries or documents on Commercial accounts to ensure timely completion and resolution
14. Maintain compliance with all bank policies procedures and regulations.
15. Demonstrate a superior level of service product acumen and attention to detail.
16. Work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities.
17. Perform other duties as directed.
This position is hybrid allowing remote and in office workdays each week. The exact schedule is based on approval of the Director of Client Services and needs of the Bank. Note the hybrid schedule is subject to change at any time.
Knowledge Skills and Experience Requirements:
1. Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
2. Two to three years of experience in client-facing roles; work experience in the financial services industry a plus
3. Ability to work and adapt to a fast-paced evolving work environment
4. Robust knowledge of Microsoft Office software package (Word Excel Outlook); knowledge of Horizon XE is a plus
5. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy and able to respond in a timely manner
