Job Summary

Salary/Position Classification

  • 14.00 hourly Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 10 hours per week
  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No
  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Executed scenic painting techniques including faux finishes texture work distressing and color blending to support theatrical productions
  • Collaborated with scenic designers technical directors and fellow students to interpret and realize design concepts
  • Prepared scenic surfaces by priming base coating and repairing flats platforms and props
  • Mixed paints to achieve accurate color matching and consistency across scenic elements Assisted in translating scale renderings and paint elevations to full-scale scenery Maintained a clean safe and organized paint shop following all safety and material-handling procedures Met production deadlines by working efficiently during build tech and strike periods Supported load-in touch-ups and strike of scenic elements as needed - (Essential)
