Job Summary

The Client Accounting Administrator provides administration and customer support services to the Single and Multi-Employer Group Benefit Plans within the Group Benefits Administration team.

The Client Accounting Administrator will:

  • Provide administrative support to all Benefit Solutions clients and members in our Coughlin - Ottawa office

  • Enable the smooth operation and administration of all Benefit Solutions / Coughlin - Ottawa client plans

  • Provide timely customer service support and prepare correspondence as required (by phone and email) related to the administration of the plans to all Benefit Solutions clients and members in our Coughlin - Ottawa office

  • Provide data entry services related to the enrolments into these plans changes from members for these plans updates from employers and members related to the administration of the plans

  • Report to Finance any and all required data for the purpose of stakeholder portion of the monthly financial reporting

  • Receive payments from clients and members for their premium dues

  • Prepare payment information for suppliers to these plans (insurance carriers etc..)

  • Provide professional communication to all internal and external stakeholders

  • Follow all training and related learning with care and attention


To be successful as a Client Accounting Administrator with Coughlin & Associates Ltd. you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of post-secondary education in a related field such as Business Administration Benefits Administration or Accounting is required.

  • A combination of required education and a minimum of 1 year related experience are expected.

  • Strong mathematical and reconciliation skills.

  • A clear understanding of banking procedures.

  • Strong grammatical and spelling abilities.

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively.

  • Fluency in English and French both verbal and written communication is preferred
