Job Overview
The Sr Supply Chain Planning Manager- Network Engineering at T-Mobile is crucial in synchronizing network procurement and deployment plans with prevailing demand and build forecasts ensuring that inventory levels (including critical spares) across all locations are optimized to meet corporate objectives and network performance targets. This role oversees a significant annual spend within Network Engineering spearheading requisition processes and securing executive approvals to support ongoing network expansion modernization and sustainment programs. By leading weekly cross-functional meetings with Network Engineering Operations Logistics Finance and OEM/supplier partners the manager proactively addresses exceptions mitigates supply disruptions and promotes alignment across multiple network portfolios (e.g. RAN transport core IP). The role is also responsible for developing strategies to resolve supply chain or OEM-related challenges strengthening supplier performance and improving key performance metrics for the IPP team.
In addition this position provides end-to-end oversight of both forward and reverse supply chain functionsfrom forecasting sourcing inbound logistics warehousing staging/kitting and field delivery for network builds (forward supply chain) to returns management RMA coordination repair/refurbishment redeployment recycling/disposition and asset recovery controls (reverse supply chain)to reduce downtime risk minimize write-offs and maximize asset utilization across the network lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Aligns buy plans with current demand forecasts to optimize inventory levels across all locations and are in alignment with corporate goals
  • Oversees annual spend in Network/Data Center sectors spearheading requisition processes and securing executive approvals
  • Leads weekly cross-functional meetings to address exceptions mitigate supply disruptions and promote alignment across product lines
  • Develops strategies to address supply chain or OEM-related challenges
  • Enhances the performance metrics of the IPP (Invoice Processing Platform) team
  • Contributes to the operational efficiency and goal achievement of the organization through strategic supply chain management


Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree plus 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience or equivalent experience (Required)
  • Acceptable areas of study include Supply Chain Business or Economics (Required)
  • 4-7 years Experience in supply chain planning and inventory management in the telecommunications sector (Required)
  • 4-7 years Experience in leading cross-functional teams to address supply chain disruptions and align product lines (Required)
  • 4-7 years Experience in developing and implementing strategic supply chain management solutions (Required)


Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Strategic Planning- Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency and meet organizational goals. (Required)
  • Supply Chain- Deep understanding of supply chain processes including procurement inventory management and logistics. (Required)
  • Problem Solving- Strong problem-solving skills with the capability to address and resolve operational challenges effectively. (Required)
  • Analytics- Proficiency in using analytical tools and methodologies to evaluate supply chain performance and identify improvement opportunities. (Required)
  • Cross Functional Relationships- Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments to ensure alignment and integration of supply chain strategies. (Required)
  • Microsoft Excel - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Communication - Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Change Management - Experience in managing change ensuring smooth transition and adoption of new processes or systems within the supply chain


Licenses and Certifications:

  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Certification from APICS that demonstrates knowledge and organizational skills for developing more streamlined operations. (Preferred)
  • Six Sigma - Champion Leadership Certification that indicates expertise in the methodologies and tools of Six Sigma for process improvement and quality management. (Preferred)
  • Supply Chain Management (CPIM) Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) This certification from APICS provides professionals with the ability to understand and evaluate production and inventory activities within a companys global operations. (Preferred)

Arlington TX Compensation Range: $98000 - $132500

Frisco TX Compensation Range: $102900 - $139200

Base Pay Range: $89000 - $160600

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidates actual pay will be based on various factors such as work location qualifications and experience so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile employees in regular non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employees eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
