The Senior Department Chair will oversee the day to day management of faculty and Department Chairs at a given campus and will report to the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs within a designated region. This oversight includes adjudicating faculty grievances/issues and student academic complaints at the campus level; assisting with the development of a standardized course schedule for the institution and for monitoring course enrollments; and ensuring that all Academic Affairs policies are consistently implemented across the campus. This position will teach at least 50% of a normal faculty contract load for each of the four academic terms as appropriate for the size and scope of the campus being overseen with the requirement to teach at least one course as an adjunct in the summer. Special projects may be assigned as needed.

Education
Required: Masters degree in Heathcare Management or Public Healthcare
Preferred: Ph.D./Ed.D. inHeathcare Management or Public Healthcare
Experience
Required: 5 years of full-time higher education teaching
Preferred: 5 years of full-time higher education teaching AND higher education administration experience in an Academic Affairs setting (e.g. Department Chair Division Chair etc.)
