DescriptionThe Vice President of Information Technology (VPIT) provides strategic leadership vision and oversight for all information technology systems and services at the College. The VPIT ensures that technology supports the institutions academic mission administrative operations student success initiatives cybersecurity posture and long-term strategic goals.
This role serves as a senior leader partnering with academic leadership enrollment finance student affairs institutional research and compliance functions to deliver secure scalable available and innovative technology solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides strategic leadership and governance by developing and executing a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the Colleges mission strategic plan and accreditation requirements and by establishing policies and standards for IT operations cybersecurity data governance and digital accessibility.
- Ensures that technology solutions enhance student engagement advising retention and overall educational outcomes.
- Provides executive oversight of the Colleges enterprise systems and technology infrastructure to ensure alignment to support academic and operations functions.
- Serves as the executive owner of the Colleges information security and cybersecurity program providing leadership for risk management data protection and regulatory compliance.
- Leads and develops a high-performing IT organization fostering a culture of collaboration accountability service excellence and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for talent development succession planning workforce planning and professional growth within the IT organization.
- Leads financial stewardship for the institutions technology portfolio including development and management of IT operating and capital budgets. This role oversees vendor selection contract negotiation and vendor performance management ensuring cost-effective procurement and strong partnerships. The Vice President identifies opportunities for operational efficiencies shared services and lifecycle management of technology investments to maximize institutional value.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors or 4 years of IT management experience
- 6 years experience in IT management
- Strong knowledge of ERP/SIS systems (e.g. Ellucian Campus Logic etc.)
- Expertise in cloud computing networking cybersecurity and data governance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters or 6 years IT management experience
- 10 years experience in IT management
