Job Summary and Responsibilities
Every day you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized comprehensive care making critical assessments performing skilled procedures and meticulously implementing patient care plans. - Maintains current knowledge of all patient safety standards and National Patient Safety goals and consistently incorporates into nursing practice.
- Able to safely administer medications and blood/blood products using the 7 (seven) rights of medication and blood administration. Uses 2 (two) separate hospital approved identifiers to safely identify the patient prior to medication / blood administration.
- Maintain a safe therapeutic work environment at all times and identifies and addresses problems to the appropriate departments.
- Adheres to principles of infection control including medical and surgical asepsis and isolation techniques. Demonstrates aseptic technique while conducting sterile dressing changes urinary catheterizations and other similar duties.
- Receive interpret and implement physician orders in a safe and timely manner. Uses hospital approved process for telephone and / or verbal orders that include a readback of all orders.
- Perform patient assessment/reassessment including pre and post conduct a physical assessment establishing priorities for care.
Job Requirements
- Hospital experience dealing with conscious sedation. and
- Registered Nurse: CA upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire and
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire
Preferred
- Bachelors Of Science Nursing and Interventional Radiology Experience upon hire
