| Responsibilities: | - Performing molecular diagnostic assays (PCR real-time PCR).
- Performing basic molecular techniques such as cloning bacterial transformation etc.
- Performing DNA isolation techniques.
- Maintaining accurate laboratory records.
- Preparing next generation sequencing (NGS) libraries and assessing their quality.
- Running Galaxy-based bioinformatics tools on NGS data.
- Designing real-time PCR assays utilizing output from Galaxy-based bioinformatics analysis.
- Assisting/mentoring undergraduate (and potentially masters level) students with related work.
