    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This position supports the principal in leading administrative efforts that advance high-quality education and student achievement for all learners. Responsibilities include supervising both certified and classified staff fostering the growth of individuals and teams and building strong collaborative relationships across the school community. The role involves analyzing data to inform decision-making and adapting professional development to improve outcomes. It also ensures continuous learning opportunities for staff and plays an integral role in the design implementation and evaluation of instructional programs. Additionally the position promotes positive engagement and effective communication with all stakeholders.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support the overall operation of the school and assume leadership responsibilities in the principals absence.
    • Maintain a safe and orderly school environment by implementing and monitoring behavior expectations addressing student conduct and ensuring compliance with safety and legal requirements.
    • Serve as an instructional leader by supporting the implementation of professional development and monitoring instructional practices through classroom observations team collaboration and PLCs.
    • Use data to analyze student performance identify areas for growth and inform instructional decisions and school improvement efforts.
    • Collaborate in the development and implementation of school improvement plans including data-driven instruction and PLC cycles.
    • Assist in the strategic placement of students and the coordination of services to support diverse learning needs including students with special needs.
    • Coordinate and oversee state and district assessments including testing systems and administration protocols.
    • Support and supervise extracurricular activities and student events.
    • Foster strong relationships with students staff families and the community to support student success and engagement.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders using a variety of tools and platforms to promote transparency and involvement.
    • Address building operations and safety concerns in collaboration with school and district staff including implementation of emergency procedures.
    • Serve as a liaison between the school and district offices.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead and support the implementation of effective instructional and curricular practices aligned with district priorities and student needs.
    • Plan and facilitate professional development to enhance staff effectiveness and student outcomes.
    • Supervise and evaluate staff to support continuous growth and accountability.
    • Guide the development and implementation of school improvement goals focused on increasing student achievement.
    • Promote effective communication and collaboration among students staff families and the broader community.
    • Utilize available resources to strengthen instructional and co-curricular programs.
    • Support and advance the mission and vision of the district and Board of Education.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    SUPERVISION / TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Supervise and support certified and classified staff.
    • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with district policies and applicable laws including hiring training assigning and directing work and evaluating performance.
    • Provide ongoing feedback through observations goal setting and conferences to support staff growth and accountability.
    • Address employee concerns manage disciplinary actions and make recommendations regarding employment decisions.


    BUDGET AND/OR RESOURCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prioritize and schedule work tasks independently.
    • Create and implement effective and efficient process management strategies (e.g. procedures equipment materials and supplies).
    • Accurately project budgetary needs and plans for effective use of fiscal resources.
    • Maintain accurate records in accordance with professional standards state guidelines and school system policy.

    EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
    Masters degree with emphasis in curriculum instruction educational leadership or administration (required).
    Five (5) years successful teaching experience (required).

    Degree or experience in Special Education (preferred).
    Bilingual (preferred).

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to identify and promote first best instructional practices
    • Ability to create and maintain a safe and effective learning environment for students
    • Experience as an educational leader and/or administrator
    • Experience in supervision/evaluation of staff
    • Experience as an instructional leader is required
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to effectively manage a building budget
    • Ability to work collaboratively with students staff parents and community
    • Demonstrated effectiveness as both a team leader and team member
    • Understanding of and experience in building-level school improvement processes leading to increased student performance
    • Possess or the ability to attain a State of Colorado Principals license


    LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:
    Valid Colorado Drivers License.
    Valid Colorado Principal License upon hire.

    ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    Frequent lifting 5 (five) to 10 (ten) pounds.
    Occasional lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds.
    Frequent sitting bending walking and standing.
    Occasional stooping kneeling squatting and reaching.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
    Mostly clean and comfortable.

    SALARY:
    Salary range$73832 ï½ $103832 depending upon experience and qualifications.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    New hires or rehires will be responsible for the fingerprint processing fee required for background checks through the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
