Key Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for coordinating overseeing and ensuring the quality completeness and timeliness of program data generated from community- and facility-level MNH interventions across targeted provinces. This role leads the data cleaning validation and consolidation processes ensuring data accuracy and compliance with project standards and donor requirements. The Data Coordinator works closely with field teams partners and national program staff to resolve data quality issues support evidence-based decision-making and ensure reliable data reporting to support lifesaving maternal and newborn health outcomes.
Strategy Development & Planning
Develop and apply standardized data cleaning and validation methods in line with project donor and organizational standards
Support data-related inputs for program planning implementation timelines and reporting needs
Resource Acquisition & Management/ Engagement/Project Management
Supervise end-to-end data management processes including data collection validation cleaning and review in close coordination with field personnel.
Ensure data accuracy completeness timeliness and consistency across digital reporting platforms.
Conduct routine data quality checks and support corrective actions to address data gaps or inconsistencies.
Contextualize and simplify digital reporting tools to ensure suitability for diverse regional and local contexts
Capacity Building/ Technical works
Provide technical guidance to Data/Field Officers and relevant staff on data quality standards data cleaning and validation procedures
Support improvement of data collection practices by providing feedback on recurring data issues and common errors
Work closely with Jhpiego to align technical guidance tools and capacity-building approaches.
Accountability & Quality Assurance
Coordinate data cleaning processes including removal of duplicate responses handling missing values outlier detection logical consistency checks text standardization and date/time validation
Conduct internal consistency checks and cross-variable logic reviews
Coordinate spot checks and back checks through re-interview of 510% of respondents per area
Maintain comprehensive data audit trails including data cleaning logs validation documentation and versioned datasets (raw cleaned final)
Coordinate closely with Jhpiego and other partners to ensure harmonization of data systems standards and reporting practices.
Networking & Coordination
Coordinate with Program MEAL partners and field teams to address data quality issues and validation findings
Support external data validation by comparing project data with Puskesmas Posyandu or other relevant sources when required
Management & Leadership
Submits periodical/ monthly accomplishment report
Build and maintain positive spirit of working in team with other staff in respective unit and department
Provide line management for data team including performance management coaching and capacity building.
Provide Christian leadership and support to enrich the organizations life faith Christian commitments and ministry to the disadvantaged children and communities we seek to serve.
Be a role model and inspiration in managing work communication and relationship with internal staff and external parties.
Manage all risks related to Project according to organization policies guidelines and standard. This includes risks in fraud safeguarding and other related risks.
Requirement
Minimum bachelors degree in a relevant field such as IT Data Science Social Sciences Statistics Mathematics Public Health or other related disciplines
Basic training or demonstrated knowledge in data management data quality assurance or monitoring and evaluation is an advantage
Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience in data management data quality assurance monitoring and evaluation or related roles
Experience or exposure to health or community-based programs is an advantage
Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and Proficiency in English communication is highly valuable or equal with TOEFL Score 450
Ability to move freely both indoors and outdoors to conduct site visits meetings and other activities related to the job responsibilities.
Awareness and commitment to maintaining a healthy work-life balance considering the demanding nature of travel and fieldwork.
