Job Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Stock/Stores Controller to controls the movement of stock in the warehouse and supervises the clerical aspects of the stores documentation function. Reviews records compiled from ordering shipping and receiving materials. Assesses stock supply and reorder status. Verifies requisition of additional stock items using the appropriate forms.
Duties & Responsibilities
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be responsible for the following functions:
- Match all source documents against delivery receiving dispatch and security schedules
- Verify data and correct data where necessary
- Daily cycle counts as per SLA. The whole warehouse has to be counted on a weekly basis.
- Re-classification of product. This is done when stock is re-graded by Safripol to off-grade material. The pallets has to be re-labelled covered with a plastic sheath and stacked in H-warehouse.
- Receiving verifying and recording all returns. Once received allocate and stack returns to bins in the warehouse.
- Assist with preparing tail-end and startup loads when required.
- This position requires a valid forklift license.
- At times will also be required to assist in the receiving and dispatch areas as a forklift driver if needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Understanding of Supply Chain/Warehousing/Distribution
