The Global Communications Energy & Utilitiesteam is hiring a Senior Account Executive toassistcustomers and prospects in shaping their strategies and modernizing their is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing team with a strongtrack recordof members consistently achieving their targets year after year earning Presidents Clubrecognitionand securing substantial financial rewards.

The role involves an advancedand strategicunderstanding of business challenges presenting SAS solutions and building relationships with key accounts in theenergy and communicationsmarket. The focus will be on driving growth inthissector byleveragingexisting relationships and creating new ones. This position offers a chance for ahighlyexperienced sales professional to driveour Energy and Communications markets across a Senior AE you willdrivesuccessful outcomes learn from industry leaders and make a lasting impact by turning complex challenges into meaningful solutions.

Therole will be basedonour office inMadrid andwillrequire traveling as per business needs.

As aSeniorAccount Executive Energy & Communicationsyou will

  • Act as theSASBusiness Lead fortherelationship withand revenues fromnominated customers and prospects

  • Be responsible forachievement of totalsoftware& hostingrevenue target and management businessobjectives.

  • Engage with targeted customers and prospect accounts tounderstandtheir business needs and thenpositionrelevantSAS solutions managing deals typically from sub$50kto $ canrange fromtactical opportunities such as upgradesto large dealsinvolving the full range of SAS capabilitiessuch assoftwaresolutions hostingandconsulting.You will work withsome ofthe largestenergy and communications companies in Iberia.

  • Develop strategies to modernize customer engagement for strategic clients.

  • Build andmaintainrelationships influencing longterm strategies and engaging with Clevel decisionmakers.

  • Provideexpertisein industry business and marketing technology to close deals in your assigned territory.

  • Support leadgeneration activities and integrate strategies into account plans qualifying based on business and technical fit.

  • Develop opportunities and create compelling proposals tosolvecustomerbusiness challenges. Communicate the value of SAS solutions collaborating with internal teams.

  • Support the closure of complex sales andassistwith pricing and licensing negotiations.

  • Own the enterprise motion endtoend: territory planning; research & prospecting with Marketingand Business Development; following up Marketing leads and generating your own pipeline (LinkedIn calls networking); joint proposals with CustomerAdvisory/Consulting/Cloud/Industry Specialists; present close plans to Sales leadership; partner with Legal on contracts; leverage SAS exec sponsorship; coordinate with Consulting for delivery; partner with Customer Success to secure renewal.

Required qualifications

  • Solid experienceengaging with customers at a very senior level to positioncomplex software solutions

  • Experienceidentifyingand solving business challenges ideally within the Communications and Energy industries.

  • Demonstrated experienceinconsultative sellingmethodologiesaccount mapping and navigating complex ecosystems.

  • Ability toanalyzeterritory dynamics and execute a sales plan; communicate technical and business concepts and relate them to SAS applications and user needs; work independently and collaboratively.

  • Knowledge of SaaS complex solution sales ideally with a focus on data analytics AI Generative AI and related technologies. Awareness of SAS solutions and services preferred (e.g. Data & AI Risk Customer Interaction; see examples for Telecom/Media/Technology).You will be able to sell full gamut of SAS capability to meet customer needs. Training will also be offered on Industry Specific SAS Solutions for Energy and Communications

  • Fluent in Spanish and English; Portuguese is an advantage.

  • Equivalent combination of related education training and experience may be considered.
