Position Overview
A nationally recognized healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Director of Case Management to lead all operational clinical and strategic functions of the Case Management department. This role partners closely with executive and interdisciplinary leadership to optimize patient flow care coordination utilization management and regulatory compliance in a high-volume acute-care setting.
Key Responsibilities
Direct and evaluate all Case Management department operations including staffing models FTE management onboarding competencies and workflows
Oversee care coordination utilization review and discharge planning processes
Ensure timely accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with finance and division-level leadership to meet operational and financial objectives
Analyze performance data and implement sustainable process improvement initiatives
Build strong partnerships with executive and clinical stakeholders (C-suite Legal Ethics & Compliance Nursing Medical Staff)
Lead mentor and develop a team of approximately 30 Case Management FTEs
Promote a culture aligned with the organizations mission values and Code of Conduct
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree (required)
Masters degree in Nursing Healthcare Administration or Business Administration (preferred)
Active licensure in one of the following:
Minimum 3 years of recent acute-care hospital Case Management experience
Minimum 2 years of Case Management leadership experience
Preferred Experience & Skills
Director-level or senior leadership experience strongly preferred
Experience in large high-volume acute-care hospitals
Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
Strong expertise in care coordination discharge planning and utilization management
Demonstrated ability to lead change manage competing priorities and work independently
Excellent communication skills executive presence and stakeholder engagement ability
