Perform duties to coordinate shop production orders oversee daily operations of the warehouse and provide assistance in coordinating and expediting customer and service center inquiries and orders. Carry out policies and procedures as defined in the quality manual. Continuous development through reading schools seminars and on-the-job training.
Job Duties:
Assist customers and service centers in estimating needs and quote prices on parts replacements labor/installation repairs and other charges; submit for approval; check availability of stock back order status vendor schedules service center stock shipping dates; quote prices write orders and process; verify orders and correspondence.
Schedule work in the Rubber Shop as necessary to ensure customer and service center orders are fulfilled in a timely and efficient manner.
Expedite order inquires; check status of order capabilities; follow up back orders issue tracers on lost orders; establish order or stock disposition and notify customer or service center; receive and store parts in designated locations; maintain record files regarding locations and quantities. Investigate defects damages incorrect shipments and lost orders; notify supervision of any discrepancies.
Expedite work orders; bill completed work. Maintain records and status of work inventory of rubber components and products tools equipment and supplies daily orders phone calls
Work from work orders quotes customer specifications written and verbal instructions in all shop areas.
Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Requirements:
2 years rubber shop experience to include vulcanizing splicing light or heavyweight conveyor belting products
Scheduling multi-tasking proven ability to meet deadline & quality metrics
Mechanical and mathematical aptitude
Excellent telephone skills and English (verbal written grammar)
Ability and desire to learn new systems and processes quickly
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Strong computer skills particularly Excel
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid drivers license and clean driving record (MVR)
SAP / ERP experience a plus
