Position Summary:

The Logistics Coordinatoris responsible forexecutingcoordinatinginternationaland domesticInbound andOutboundshipmentsfrom A through fortracking orders from origin to destinationvalidatethatgoods are received on the desired expected delivery dateand in full as per Purchase Order details and creating Inbound and Outbound orders should be familiar with import/exportlogisticspracticesand regulationswithdifferent modes of addition the applicant should have functional knowledge of supply chain management the ability to problem-solve work independently as well as cross-functionally and be driven to improve service inlogisticsareessential.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor track and communicate the progress of inbound/outboundshipments to ensure efficient andtimelyupdates
  • Lead meetings
  • Create reports and presentations
  • Schedule transportation vs. budget
  • Work with 3PL customs department (foreign trade zone - FTZ)
  • Proactively address shipping discrepancies with vendors
  • Communicate shipment updates with supply planning buyers customer service and 3PL
  • Daily follow-up with service providers and vendorsregardingshipment status
  • Validate purchase orders and freight invoices from vendors and service providers
  • Issue advance ship notices (ASN)
  • Enter and update shipments inlogisticssystem (SAP)
  • Correspond with 3PL warehouse to solve receiving issues
  • Prepare and publish daily and weekly reports related to inbound shipments
  • Identifyand implement internal process improvements andnew ideasto maximize service
  • Develop best practice for importlogisticsprocesses

FinancialResponsibilities:

  • Validate and approve invoices from outbound service providers
  • Make Initial Notification of Claim to the Carrier

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
  • 4-6years experience insupply chainlogisticsand customer service highly preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge ofImport and ExportRegulations fromUSForeign Trade Zones (FTZ)and other international locationspreferred
  • Knowledge of US Harmonized Code Tariff Schedule
  • Strong ERP knowledge (SAP knowledge preferred)
  • Basic knowledge ofBExAnalyzer-BW/BI (preferred)
  • Proven ability to decisively resolve issues
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills
  • MS Office proficient MS Excel skillsrequired
  • Ability to understand and analyze basic data/reports
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced self-starter environment
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Team-player with excellent relationship-building
