SUMMER ADVENTURE CAMP COUNSELOR
Spend your summer in a fun rewarding way by working with elementary school aged youth in ourCamp Fire Alaska Summer Adventure Camp! This day camp program operates Monday Friday in five school & community center locations throughout Anchorage and Eagle River.
As a Camp Counselor youll gain valuable professional experience managing small groups of youth supporting and promoting quality youth development programming relationship building (with campers staff parents etc.) and providing a stable fun and caring learning environment that will foster the campers ability to achieve our companys promise; that every child will have the opportunity to find their spark lift their voice and discover who they are! Be part of the team that actively assists the youth that will shape the world!
Camp Counselor
Pay: $18.03/hour
Schedule: Shifts Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:30am - 5:30pm
Summer Camp Dates: May 26 2026 - August 7 2026
A Counselor is primarily responsible for the minute-to-minute supervision of a group of campers while working with other counselors and specialists to participate in and facilitate a variety of camp activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Age Requirement: 16 years old to meet licensing regulations
- Ability to transport self to work and to the Camp Fire office for trainings.
- Current Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/ First Aid Certification from a nationally recognized provider required *American Red Cross preferred
