The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Category Specialist to join our new Service this role you will support all Business Units across Europe and the wider global network. You will focus on implementing supply chain strategies strengthening processes and ensuring strong performance in material availability delivery and cost.
The role offers the chance to help build and expand our Service portfolio enhance customer satisfaction and improve operational excellence. You will work closely with factories Category Managers Supplier Quality teams and project teams. You will also contribute to best-practice sharing tool improvements and cross-regional collaboration.

How youll make an impact
- Leading and executing global Supply Chain Management projects including supplier-reduction and supplier-improvement initiatives.
- Managing SCM project deliverables in line with the Gate Model and maintaining required documentation.
- Supporting improvements to SCM tools processes and best-practice frameworks.
- Acting as a link between project teams and SCM stakeholders to ensure clear and timely information flow.
- Providing cost lead-time and quality estimates and monitoring changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supporting regional and global sourcing-strategy development and contributing to sourcing-concept creation.
- Coordinating supplier selection with Category Managers and Supplier Quality Engineers.
- Aligning with Product Service Centers on annual supplier negotiations and supporting subcontractor onboarding.
- Finalizing SCM deliverables before product release and preparing training and handover materials for receiving units.
Your background
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Supply Chain Management ideally in Category Management or Strategic Sourcing within multinational environments.
- Strong understanding of procurement principles and sourcing best practices.
- Proven ability to build and execute procurement strategies.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with remote teams.
- Flexibility to travel up to 25%.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable short and long-term plans.
- Fluent in English.
