Position Summary
V-Tech Solutions is hiring Smoking Enforcement Investigators to help safeguard public health by enforcing smoke-free workplaces and public space laws in Washington DC. Investigators will conduct field inspections respond to complaints and support compliance efforts throughout the district.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine and complaint-driven inspections of workplaces and public places
Respond promptly to public complaints
Inspect for smoking violations and signage compliance
Perform undercover or unannounced surveillance as needed
Issue notices of infractions and document findings
Conduct follow-up inspections and verify corrective actions
Providecompliance guidance to businesses and establishments
Provide outreach and education to businesses and establishments on smoke-free laws exemption processes signage requirements and corrective procedures
Maintainaccuraterecords andtimelyreports
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in public health Environmental Health or related field
13 years of investigative or enforcement experience
Skills
Strong observation and documentation skills
Knowledge of regulatory compliance
Excellent communication and time management
