About the Role
As our Director of Data and AI you will lead the strategy development and execution of enterprise data analytics and AI initiatives. This role is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive customer experience store performance merchandising supply chain optimization and omnichannel growth. You will partner closely with executive leadership merchandising marketing store operations supply chain and technology teams to build scalable data platforms and AI capabilities that support both our corporate and field teams.

This position is remote and will report into Lovesac Corporate HUB based in Stamford CT. Candidates must fully reside in the United States at all times during employment and should have the ability to travel as needed.


What Youll Do

Data & AI Strategy

Define and own the enterprise Data & AI strategy prioritizing initiatives and investments to deliver a clear outcome-driven roadmap aligned to corporate objectives.

Deliver high-impact analytics machine learning and AI use cases that drive measurable business value.

Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership enabling data-driven decision-making at the executive level.

Data Architecture & Governance

  • Translate Data & AI strategy into a scalable modern data architecture establishing clear models standards and governance frameworks.
  • Take end-to-end accountability for the design development and delivery of the enterprise data platform and data management capabilities.
  • Establish and enforce data governance quality standards and best practices to ensure trusted reliable data.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy security regulatory and ethical AI guidelines.

Advanced Analytics & AI

  • Oversee enterprise analytics spanning descriptive through prescriptive insights to enable proactive decision-making.
  • Lead the development and deployment of AI and machine learning capabilities that drive business outcomes.
  • Ensure analytics and AI solutions are interpretable scalable and operationalized to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to embed data and AI into core business processes.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Articulate a clear Data & AI vision aligned to enterprise strategy and define the actions required for execution.
  • Build trusted partnerships with senior executives providing strategic guidance and thought leadership.
  • Lead and mentor high-performing teams across data engineering analytics and AI.
  • Foster a culture of innovation accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Influence and align cross-functional leaders to drive adoption and change without formal authority.

Measurement & Value Realization

  • Define and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness adoption and ROI of Data & AI initiatives.
  • Ensure insights translate into action driving tangible business outcomes and sustained value.

Perform any other reasonable duties for this role as requested by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Science Engineering Analytics or related field required.
  • 10 years of experience in data analytics and/or AI leadership roles.
  • 5 years of people leadership experience.
  • Strong experience delivering data and AI solutions that drive business outcomes.
  • Experience translating business strategy into data and AI solutions.
  • Proven experience owning and managing Microsoft Fabric environments and Power BI platforms driving scalable analytics and enterprise insights.
  • Experience in furniture home goods lifestyle or other high-consideration consumer categories preferred.
  • Advanced degree (Masters of MBA) preferred.
  • Exemplify each of our Lovesac values at all times be results driven and utilize knowledge to meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) goals and deadlines.
  • Must be able to travel using various forms of transportation as required by the Company in its sole discretion for mandatory meetings and conferences held either at our offices or off-site (i.e. quarterly team connection weeks companywide meetings and events vendor visits).
  • Must comply with all policies and procedures outlined in the Lovesac Employee Handbook and work collaboratively with fellow employees treating all clients both internal and external with dignity and respect at all times.
