Project Manager/Product Development Manager

The Project Manager/Product Development is responsible for leading cross-functional teams to successfully plan execute and deliver product development initiatives. This role works closely with clients engineering teams and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time within budget and aligned with strategic goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Meet with clients to gather detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific project requirements
  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members individual strengths skill sets and experience levels
  • Track project performance to evaluate the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Develop comprehensive project plans and documentation to be shared with clients and internal teams
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to support prototype development and progression
  • Identify suppliers contractors and raw materials necessary to build or create products under development
  • Prepare reports on development procedures that have been tested identifying and eliminating unsuccessful methods
  • Oversee product development activities across a team of individuals
  • Present new product ideas to corporate executives to obtain approval for development of new product lines
  • Prepare cost analyses and budgets related to new product development
  • Support the development of marketing campaigns designed to inform stakeholders and customers about new product availability
  • Research patents copyrights and trademarks to ensure no infringement issues exist
  • Ensure all phases of each project progress according to established schedules
  • Adjust development plans as needed when current approaches are not yielding desired results
  • Conduct and oversee customer discovery and market research to support technology development

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in project management
  • Preference for candidates with an engineering or technical background
  • Experience serving as a Product Manager within the health technology sector
  • Self-motivated driven and results-oriented
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Experience managing and leading teams
  • Experience conducting customer discovery and market research
  • Ability to compose detailed notes documentation and reports
  • Proficiency with project management software tools
  • Experience with budget management and financial analysis
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Advanced time management and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and business team members
