Position: Senior Business Analyst Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Compensation Details:

• Business Analyst 18: Salaries typically range from $96557 to $128743 annually based on qualifications and experiences plus a performance-based incentive.

Location:

• Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment currently requiring employees to work in the office 2 days per week. (subject to change)
• This role can be performed from EDCs headquarters in Ottawa or from one of our Community Hubs located in Toronto Mississauga Montreal Brossard or Laval.
• Relocation assistance is available for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.

Team Overview:

The Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) group under the leadership of the Chief Information Officer was established in 2023 with the mission of empowering our customers and colleagues to take on the world by seamlessly delivering secure and reliable digital experiences. Digital & Technology Solutions has set out to achieve the following objectives for EDC:

• Define execute and sustain the integrated technology target state target data model and technology operations required to enable EDCs 2030 business transformation.

• Establish and manage the rolling 3 Year Digital Roadmap that sequences the technology outcomes required to achieve the technology target state and facilitate its execution across all domains in the organization.

• Keep pace with industry trends and emerging technologies ensuring EDC has access to the digital technology tools it needs to stay relevant in the market and grow Canadian global trade.

• Lead and ensure integrated digital data infrastructure and cybersecurity implementations to create excellent customer user and employee experiences.

As EDC aims to be the leader in making Canada and the World better through trade the Digital Platform Delivery & Architecture (DPDA) group in EDC plays a critical role in enabling the business to leverage technologies by providing an easy-to-use secure and fit-for-purpose digital business platforms.

To better position ourselves for success the Salesforce Platform within the Digital Business Platforms group is seeking ahighly skilled and visionary Salesforce Marketing Cloud Business Analyst to lead the requirement gathering and story creation for the new Marketing Cloud Advanced Platform.

In this role youll have the opportunity to contribute to the design and direction of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions that truly make a difference for our business and improve our operational efficiency. What you will be doing:

• Elicit complex business requirements using a variety of methods such as interviews document analysis workshops and workflow analysis to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.

• Document complex as is and to be processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the to be capability to record accurately the change required.

• Interpret the business need and identify solution recommendations to business problems at a business unit level. Lead the improvement efforts that are within span of control at this level.

• Plan and coordinate the identification elicitation of requirements conduct analysis of those requirements for completion and alignment document and manage requirements throughout the life of the project and coordinate the verification of the end deliverable. Generally done at the project level.

• Conduct complex feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective and document findings to complete cost-benefit analysis on implementing changes to business processes products or business unit structure.

• Develop straightforward business cases or lead feasibility and assessment work for proposed and current projects to support the development and continuous review of business cases.

• Develop external stakeholder engagement through identifying stakeholders finding out their needs/issues/concerns and reacting to these to support the communication of business information and decisions.

• Use data from a wide range of sources to analyze key themes and identify possible impacts on the business.

• Design and execute methodologies to analyze and identify opportunities to improve processes practices and procedures uncovering opportunities for innovation.

• Promote a culture of innovation by creating solutions that boost creativity innovation and collaboration such as idea generation platforms jam sessions and hackathons.

• Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and evaluate their potential impact on or usefulness to the organization.

What we are looking for:

• Undergraduate Degree in Commerce Business Computer Science Engineering or related field.

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst working in Marketing Cloud or similar position.

• Minimum 2 years of experienceworkingwithin a digitaljourneyordigitalization project(s).

• Solid knowledge of Agile Delivery Practices and large program delivery roles and activities.

• Expert knowledge of ADO and/or JIRAConfluenceand/or other requirement management tools.

• Excellent investigative and analytical skills; ability to translate broad strategic intent into tactical plans and directions.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate with both business and technical audiences; strong listening skills.

• Strong relationship management skills including facilitating group sessions and displaying leadership within a project team.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Understanding of Cybersecurity principles and how they can be applied to the requirements gathering process.

What will make you stand out:

• Experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Advanced.
• Understanding of banking insurance or financial regulations.
• Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Application Architect.
• Bilingual in both official languages (English and French).
