Description

Responsible for managing NICs hardware and software systems and applications to include evaluation for replacement or upgrade based on NICs evolving needs. This position is a key contributor to event related technology.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Technology & Systems Management

  • Develop test and administer organization-wide IT systems and applications including NIC Academy project management tools CRM the NIC intranet and event mobile apps.
  • Recommend system upgrades or replacements when appropriate.
  • Analyze business requirements by collaborating with stakeholders to propose and implement technology solutions.
  • Oversee systems and data security including conducting staff security training and managing a phishing test program.
  • Deliver all-staff and individual training sessions on technology platforms; onboard new employees on key systems.
  • Create and maintain IT and security-related documentation internal policies and process guides.
  • Serve as technology lead during conferences ensuring high-speed internet and system access in all key areas.
  • Provide backup support to the outsourced IT vendor assisting staff with hardware and software needs.

NIC Academy Responsibilities

  • Manage e-commerce functions for NIC Academy including building course pages and managing coupon codes.
  • Maintain and update existing online courses as needed.
  • Oversee course management including rebuilding/re-running courses quarterly.
  • Provide general support for NIC Academy learners and internal teams.
  • Administer user access to courses and manage permissions.
  • Manage surveys related to course feedback including setup monitoring and basic analysis.

Event Support & Technology

  • Lead buildout and ongoing management of the NIC Event Mobile App.
  • Maintain and distribute weekly attendee lists to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Support event logistics by building out and managing Asana projects.
  • Coordinate and place orders for network and power requirements for event venues.
  • Oversee printing and distribution of badges and tent cards for vendors receptions meetings and Boot Camps.
  • Set up attendee tracking and session-level surveys in Cvent including email communication and monitoring.
  • Analyze post-session and post-conference surveys and present results in charts and PowerPoint formats.

Marketing & Communications

  • Support the planning setup and management of webinars including technical assistance before and during sessions.
  • Assist with Marketing Data Management.

Research & Content Support

  • Assist with podcast recording and other minor research-related content production.

Administrative Support

  • Print and manage name badges and tent cards as needed for internal and external events.
  • Maintain SharePoint user permissions for volunteer engagement activities.

COMPETENCIES

  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and circumstances
  • Effective communication both verbal and written
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in information technology or related discipline.
  • Five years of hands-on experience with personal/business computer software and hardware configuration.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in an administrative capacity with Microsoft Office 365 and Salesforce
  • Microsoft Certifications
  • Project Management Experience
  • Ability to collaborate with others who may not have the same work style

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is generally remote but when working in the NIC office environment there may be exposure to moderate noise levels. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for six to eight hours daily or prolonged periods of time and includes physical demands associated with a traditional office setting e.g. walking standing communicating and other physical functions as necessary. Physical requirements of this position include the following:

  • Lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Stooping crawling
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
