Responsibilities:
Accounting & Book Closure
Handle day-to-day plant accounting ensuring accurate recording of transactions.
Ensure monthly quarterly and annual book closure within defined timelines.
Maintain proper GL accounting provisions accruals and reconciliations related to plant operations.
2. Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance
Manage product costing standard costing and cost sheet preparation.
Analyze material labour overhead and conversion cost variances.
Monitor scrap yield loss rejections and production variances in coordination with operations.
3. Inventory Accounting & Controls
Ensure accurate inventory valuation (RM WIP FG) as per accounting standards and company policy.
Conduct and coordinate physical inventory verification cycle counts and variance analysis.
Ensure proper accounting of inventory adjustments slow-moving and obsolete stock.
4. Compliance Audit & Internal Controls
Ensure compliance with internal financial controls SOPs and delegation of authority at the plant.
Support statutory audits internal audits cost audits and tax audits.
Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards GST and other statutory requirements at plant level.
5. Capex & Fixed Assets
Maintain fixed asset register capitalization depreciation and asset tagging.
Track Capex utilization CWIP and capitalization of completed projects.
Support physical verification of fixed assets and reconciliation with books.
6. Plant MIS & Reporting
Prepare and submit plant-level financial reports and operational MIS to Corporate Finance.
Provide cost and accounting data to support plant reviews and management discussions.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency in reports shared with stakeholders.
Profile/Competencies:
Education background level of experience
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Commerce or a related field.
CA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
37 years of experience in plant finance.
Strong understanding of project cost management investment appraisal and financial controls.
Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent).
Experience in project-driven environments such as manufacturing infrastructure engineering or EPC is desirable.
Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
