Exams Office:
The Exams Officer will join a dedicated and experienced administrative team responsible for ensuring all internal and external examinations are managed to the highest standards. The school runs a full programme of GCSEs A Levels BTECs and mock exams throughout the year.
The role includes responsibility for managing examination timetables coordinating entries liaising with exam boards ensuring JCQ compliance processing access arrangements training and overseeing invigilators managing controlled assessments securely handling exam materials and ensuring accurate results processing.
The Exams Officer serves as the schools primary contact for students parents staff and external exam bodies regarding all exam-related matters. This role requires precision exceptional organisation and the ability to remain calm and professional during peak periods.
The successful applicant will also support whole-school data and assessment functions when required and work closely with the Data Manager SENDCO Senior Leadership Team Heads of Department and pastoral teams.
Requirements
Experience as an Exams Officer or experience working within a school office in a similar role (desirable)
Strong understanding of JCQ regulations and exam compliance processes
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a complex annual exam cycle
High professional standards including accuracy confidentiality and attention to detail
Strong IT skills and experience using exam management software
Ability to lead and coordinate a team of invigilators
Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with students parents and staff
Ability to work well under pressure particularly during busy exam periods
A calm solutions-focused and proactive attitude
