Travel is part of this position but the frequency may vary based on client team and individual circumstances.

What youll do

Our Performance teams work with healthy under-performing and distressed companies across a variety of urgent high impact situations.

The team helps our clients deliver significant improvement in business performance and enterprise value. We specialise in key areas such as growth operations sourcing and procurement strategy and analysis organisational transformation technology and M&A.

At AlixPartners youre the driver of your own career. To support you through the internship we offer regular opportunities for performance feedback and a rigorous end of internship performance review designed to help you succeed. As a Performance Intern over a period of 8 weeks you will learn how to consult the AlixPartners way working closely with senior consultants delivering projects analysing corporate performance driving cost reductions revenue growth and profitability improvement across industries or functional area(s) of expertise.

What youll need

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Some experience in industry preferably in a range of business-critical topics such as cost optimisation working capital management operations improvement technology M&A or profitable top-line growth.
  • MBA with evidence of strong academic success. Degree(s) in Business Finance Engineering (or foreign equivalent) preferable.
  • Analytical; Skilled in developing and managing analytics reports and metrics with precision. Proven ability to make solid recommendations for project assignments.
  • Understanding of business issues and the ability to communicate them effectively to team leaders and clients.
  • Willingness to build professional and personal growth by working in high-impact situations under time-pressure.
  • True passion for achieving ambitious results.
  • Financial Literacy and modelling skills.
  • Excellent relationship management with stakeholders while achieving results.
  • Excellent written verbal organisational and executive-level presentation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word PowerPoint Excel database applications and other related tools.
  • Programming skills nice to have.
  • Advisory experience is a nice to have.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of an additional language would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal business hours and in particular as unique projects/needs arise.
  • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday
