The Emergency Communications Department (ECD) also known as 9-1-1 serves as the Countys primary Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) providing emergency and non-emergency call taking and dispatch services for law enforcement fire and allied public safety agencies throughout Monterey County.
The Emergency Communications Supervising Dispatcher is a first-line supervisor responsible for leading and supporting dispatch personnel during assigned shifts coordinating daily operations on the communications floor and ensuring the timely and effective delivery of emergency services to the community.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATEAny combination of training education and/or experience which provides the knowledge skills and abilities and required conditions of employment is qualifying. An example of a way these requirements might be acquired is:
Two (2) years of experience performing duties comparable to the position of Emergency Communications Dispatcher II in the County of Monterey and one (1) year of experience training entry-level employees.
